Fine Art Photographer
Madrid · San Francisco · Lisbon · Piraeus · Valencia
Born in Madrid, Jayro Montesinos studied Political Science before discovering photography in his thirties as an assistant at ZERO, Spain's leading LGBTQI+ magazine. That early immersion in fashion, dance and the human body defined a visual language that has never left him.
He has lived and worked across three continents — San Francisco, Lisbon and Piraeus — absorbing light, culture and the quiet poetry of different cities. Now based in Valencia, his work moves between fine art nude, dance, campaigns and documentary, always returning to the same obsession: the body as landscape, the body as architecture.
His work has been published in editorial contexts including a special issue on artistic nude for a monthly fine art photography magazine, and several covers for LGBTQI+ publications in Germany. He has participated in art fairs as a photographer and exhibited individually at festivals including Visible, as well as collectively at the Leslie-Lohman Museum Gallery in New York. Certified works have been acquired by private collectors in Europe and the United States.
